Molecular Ancestry Network

Network biology characterizes and describes quantitatively the networks of molecular interactions that operate in biological systems.
There is considerable interest in the processes underlying evolution of networks, especially evolution of metabolism. Cellular metabolism represents a collection of enzyme reactions and transport processes that convert metabolites into molecules capable of supporting cellular life. Our aim is to find evolutionary patterns and processes embedded in the architecture and function of modern metabolic networks, using information derived from structural genomics. more...
